Question: Can any doctor in new york prescribe suboxone?

Can any doctor in New York prescribe suboxone? or do you need to see a special doctor? or will a primary physcian work? also, does insurance over it, or do you neeed to pay out of pocket?

No, not any doctor can prescribe Suboxone, it has to be a specially certified doc, and even then they can only treat up to 100 patients. And once again, Lone is on here telling lies. Suboxone doctors DO take insurance, in fact my doctor cut me a $400 check for overpaying last year. Suboxone isn't right for everyone, but for people whose psychological addiction to opiates is severe, it has allowed them to reclaim their lives. Please don't let the freaks at subsux.com convince you not to explore every possible option in your recovery. Good luck.

No, only certified suboxone doctors can prescribe it. your insurance will cover it, but almost no sub doctors accept insurance, and they charge outrageous fees. It's a big trap. They know you are desperate, and once you are hooked on sub you'll be dependent on them...for years!
