Question: How long does suboxone withdrawal take?

I can understand that it may be a week or more of physical discomfort. but I'm curious what other effects are to be expected and for how long.

Everyone is different and you might be scared to hear this but for me it was 40 days. I didn't get sick, but I felt like I was gonna die. After a week it got better, and then better, but 40 days. I was on the couch as long as Noah was on the ark. No energy, no appetite, no will to live, damn near froze to death, and felt like I weighed 500 pounds. I did it because a friend told me that after 40 days I would feel a euphoria that would last months and was amazing. He wasn't lying. You will be so happy when you wake up that you will laugh and everything around you seems really good, it is amazing! try this. go buy a an electric blanket, pop top chicken soup, and ginger ale. set up everything where you are gonna lay around (the couch?) get movies video games, phone, charger, books remote. clean pjs etc. and camp yourself out. Kick the covers for a few weeks, then get up and walk.

There are several variables, mainly your age, overall health, and how long you were on Suboxone, as well as what dose you (try) to stop taking it at. suboxone is the hardest drug to detox from. If you wean low, like to 0.5 mg's a day (yes, that's zero point five) you can expect a full 30 days of withdrawal, followed by a period of post acute withdrawal, known as PAWS. That can last a year or more.
