Question: Would it have a negative effect taking suboxone while im taking perscribed benzoids?

Yes, death. They don't mix well and are not intended to be taken together. If you are already addicted to both you might be ok...maybe.

If you have a tolerance to both, no it won't kill you as long as you're taking therapeutic doses and not abusing either one. I was taking 16mg of Suboxone daily when I was prescribed 3mg daily of clonazepam, and I had no negative interaction at all, but I also had massive existing opiate and benzo tolerances (obviously by my prescribed dosage). I've heard some pretty bad stories of people coming off of benzos though, so think long and hard before using them on a regular basis. Luckily I had no problem coming off the Klonopin, but I tapered incredibly slowly over a 6 month period.
