Suboxone: Methadone & Heroin Facts

Question: I have been taking suboxone since nov 09, i started taking 8mg.?

I am now down to about 2 to 3 mg a day. Today is my last day for 2 mg, im going to go down to 1 1/ 2 mg tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I took 5 days off starting Monday March 1 to go through the withdraw. My question is, will i have a bad W/ D, what can i expect? I would appreciate any advice..What can i do to prepare myself? Thanks in advance?

Really you should wen down lower than 1.5 mg before jumping. A dose of 0.5 mg or less is easier to jump from. in 5 days, the sub will just be getting out of your system and you won't be ready to go back to work, or even move from your sofa. Regardless, you should have some comfort meds on hand. some type of prescription sleep aid (don;t even bother with any OTC stuff) and you will also need something to help with the heebie jeebies and restless legs, ether clonodine or a benzo, like valium. Withdrawal from suboxone usually lasts 30 full days, followed by a period of PAWS for up to 3 years. subsux.com
