I have been an addict for many years.I've gone to detoxes, rehabs, methodone clinics and I still end up going back to o.c.'s/ heroin. The withdrawals are awful!I was told to get off by tapering down with suboxone, not medically prescribed.I have 32 milligrams of suboxone and if anybody can please give me suggestions, I'd appreciate it so much.

methadone pills and syringes Methadone is a synthetic opioid used medically as a painkiller, but also to treat patients on opioids such as heroin.

Whew, you scared me. I thought you meant you were taking 32 mg's of sub a day. I've actually seen worse, but anyways, 32 mg's is plenty to do a short detox, and that's how they do it in rehabs. Depending on what dose of what you are on now, you could start at either 2 or 4 mg's a day, and work your way slowly down to 0.5 mg a day over the course of 7-10 days. You'll want some comfort meds too...A sleep aid, like Trazadone and Clonodine (both non addictive, cheap, and easy to get prescribed). This won;t be totally pain free, but there is no way out pain free, as I'm sure you already know. come to subsux.com and there are several that can help and support
