Can no longer get high on opiates?
I was a HUGE opiate addict for 3 and a half years. I couldn't imagine life without them, I did them nearly every day just to feel " normal" and able to function. Eventually though, I had completely drained my bank account and was forced to stop. A month or so later I got my hands on some and ended up getting very sick. I puked all day and felt like crap. It wasn't a lowered tolerance thing though because I know that little amount shouldn't have caused my body to react that way. I still have an addicts mind and would love to get high but my body doesnt want to. I gag at the sight and taste of the drip, something I once loved. My point is, why is my body rejecting this? It's like it has a mind of its own and wont let me get back to where I was. I'm not complaining this probably has saved my life, but what's going on?

How do you clean your system of opiates fast?
I'm quit already but i have a drug test coming up that i cannot fail. constructive advice would be appreciated.

I am addicted to opiates. How can I stay away?
I've been injecting opiates for 5 years straight. I have tried a million times to quit, using a million different methods. Nothing seems to help. I go back to it no matter what. Life without it is very difficult, i'd almost rather not live without it. Considering this, recently a friend told me that if I just didnt want to live life without it, then i shouldnt. But if i continue being a junky, I will never achieve anything else in life. I will never evolve from my current position in life. If there are any of you out there who have quit successfully, how did you do it? How did you stay away? What major motivations did you have? I dont know why asking this question here would help, since ive litterally tried every other option there is..

Are there products out there that prevent opiates from showing up in a drug test but not block THC & benzos?
Pretty sure my son is still using oxy and maybe also heroin. He is getting random urine tests that show negative for opiates and positive for THC and Benzos lorazepam . I am hoping he is not using, but I wanted to find out if people can do or take or use something to scam the opiate testing only and not other substances. thank you.

Addicted to opiates ?
Not sure if u spelt that right. My husband is addicted to talking some sort of opiate. I can always tell when he takes then cause he gets really active and his pupils get small. I looked up what causes pupils to contract and opiate use was a main cause. He takes them about every day and always lies to me about it. Not until after I keep nagging about why he's lying to me does he confess and say that he took a musle relaxer. I don't believe him I think it's something else but just don't know what. I truly hate when he's on them and it makes me depressed. I've begged for him to stop and he always says he will but never does. Is there anything I can do to help him stop. I want to be with him but can't stand to be around him when he's on them

Suboxone after 3 months clean of opiates?
something dont add up, my brother has come out of jail after spending 3 and half months clean of heroin whilst in there... he has said the last five days he has been given methodone first day 5 ml then up 5 ml per day till now he is on 30ml.... the reason for this use of methodone is so he can start using the drug Suboxone... now as much as Suboxone is meant to be good i carnt see how after 3 months clean they would start him on methodone just doesnt seem right to me..... also Suboxone is for getting off opiates not just to block it as he has said..... any info on this would be great thanks

Can taking prescription opiates cause infertility?
I am on prescription opiates for pain medication and I find it hard to become pregnant. Me and my fianc have been trying non stop for a year and I haven't became pregnant once. I know that after i become pregnant i can no longer take the medication but i cant concieve Is it because of the medication. Please help me, I would love to become a mom.

Do opiate addicts get prescribed sufficient painkillers to deal with their post-surgical pain?
This is just hypothetical. If someone is addicted to 200 mg of oxycontin per dose and has heart surgery, would most hospitals give them enough painkillers afterwards to deal with the post surgical pain? I had lung surgery a while back and I remember they gave me 10 mg of oxy to take every 4 hours. In the case of an addict, that might only be 1 20 of what he or she needs to feel normal. Would the hospital give him 210 per dose or would they just let him suffer? If the latter, wouldn't that be cruel?You're both making a lot of assumptions. Addiction is due to a psychological compulsion, not free choice. Also, a lot of addicts are fully functional and work full time jobs and don't just rely on other people. What about someone who has chronic pain and has been prescribed high amounts of opiates? They're just fucked?Dave I'm not asking because I or anyone I know is going through this. It's just something that crossed my mind. It seems like it would be barbaric to not provide adequate pain relief to someone after major surgery, even if they have a chemical dependency.

Opiates after Exercise?
Hey guys, so my question has to do with taking pain killers after exercise. First off, I never take them while I work out, only the day after if I am feeling sore. I am a heathy 21 year old, and I will take 2 1 Norco the day following a heavy workout. Somebody told me that the opiates reduce your build, and promote muscle degeneration... This doesn't really make sense to me, and I feel like they may be confusing their facts with over the counter pain relievers like asprin and advil. What are your opinions facts? I also was curious about the long term side effects of opiate use, if the use is kept in moderation. By this, I mean getting high of 1 or 2 Norco only ONCE a week... I know that to some, this may not be considered moderate use haha... but compared with what I see other kids doing, I'm pretty satisfied with it. But not if it's going to take my liver out when I'm 40 years old

Does opiate use promote nightmares?
I have been on opiates for about a year now. Not prescription, I am addicted to them. I'm not asking for advice or being advised to get off of them, I'll be looking into treatment when my new insurance comes through next month. I'm just asking if opiate use can cause nightmares, because when I take them from time to time later that night I have very horrifying nightmares about zombies. Does anyone know if opiate use can cause nightmares? I know withdraws can sometimes , but I'm regularly using as of right now. Once again if you're gunna say anything about how I should get off them, don't post anything, I already said I'm seeking treatment next month...I'm NOT WORRIED about nightmares, I'm purely curious if they're being caused by opiates...
