I took opiates for 4 years and stopped 10 days ago. The physical side effects are gone now but I don't feel anything emotionally, like I'm dead inside. Is this normal? If it is, what can I do about it and what else should I expect?

I did the same thing years ago. Because opiates hit the pleasure center in the brain, that might be the cause of you "feeling dead " inside. Don't be surprised if you find yourself feeling sad/ depressed also. You need to get those "feel good " chemicals working again so some exercise even walking can help and also eating Chocolate can help. I did two weeks of Chocolate, Chocolate milk, candy bars anything chocolate. And if you can get some exercise. Good Luck
