I need facts about opiate withdrawal for a research paper. Background information I am trying to prove pain killer and or antidepressant/ anxiety medication can be deadly unlike my professor belief - who clearly stated in class during a lecture over drug discussions people do not die over opiate withdrawal but do in fact get flu like symptoms to the point they wish they were dead. Thanks

You can't die from the withdrawal of opiates, your professor is correct. You may feel so ill that all you want to do is die, but the symptoms of withdrawal is not enough to kill you.
