Question: Can anybody provide me with tips to survive opiate withdrawal?

I've been on methadone for over a year at 60mg per day. I have successfully weened myself all the way down to 10mg per day and after taking 5mg for a few days I plan on stopping completely. Can anybody recommend any medications or techniques for getting through the coming withdrawal as comfortably as possible? I would obviously prefer methods that you've personally used so I have a bit more assurance that this is going to be OK. Thank you! Please don't recommend that I detox under medical supervision or in a rehab treatment facility. I'm definitely doing this in the comfort of my own home. |
