Help with opiate withdrawal symptoms!!!?
Hey everybody, I am recovering from an opiate addiction. Wow, thats the first time I've admitted this.. I work in healthcare, so I know how to manage my opiate withdrawal symptoms aches, sweats, insomnia, etc . I guess what I really need is to hear from somebody out there in the world that has gone through this before that will tell me.. YES, IT WILL BE OK, I'VE BEATEN THIS MONSTER AND SO CAN YOU . I get my medicine the legal way, through my physician, but I don't take the medicine as prescribed. What should last me two months only lasts me a month or less. I would take the pills to feel happy, energetic, hopeful, and my recreational use over time turned into a rip roaring physical dependancy. Whenever I was going to be around people to have a good time, I would take the pill s to feel happy and be a fun person to be around. Now I feel that I can't enjoy life anymore without the meds...will the cravings ever go away?

Can anybody provide me with tips to survive opiate withdrawal?
I've been on methadone for over a year at 60mg per day. I have successfully weened myself all the way down to 10mg per day and after taking 5mg for a few days I plan on stopping completely. Can anybody recommend any medications or techniques for getting through the coming withdrawal as comfortably as possible? I would obviously prefer methods that you've personally used so I have a bit more assurance that this is going to be OK. Thank you Please don't recommend that I detox under medical supervision or in a rehab treatment facility. I'm definitely doing this in the comfort of my own home.

Will Tramadol help ease opiate withdrawal?
I am getting off of Vicodin and I am starting to go through withdrawal. I read that Tramadol helps ween people off other pain killers such as Vicodin. I am also concerned about the possiblity of seizures. I've read Tramadol can cause seizures. I have never had a seizure though and I took Tramaol for 20 days about a year ago & never had a seizure from it. Has anyone been in this same situation I'm in? Withdrawal and taking Tramadol to ease it? No I cannot go to a doc at this time. No money, no insurance so I cant just walk into a hospital or doc office at this time. So that isn't an option for me. I just need some good advice and hopefully from someone with experience. Thank you so much. Help and answers will be much appreciated.

Opiate withdrawal question! Please help before they start!?
I'm about to go through opiate withdrawals again after relapsing, I've been taking up to five 10mg percocets a day for about 2 in a half weeks, now its time for me to get off of them again and this time my plan is when i get down to only having 10 pills left i will cut myself down to one a day which would last me 10 days. My question is if i do this will it keep my withdrawals at a minimum and not as bad as last time when i had to go cold turkey? And mainly when that 10th day comes will the withdrawals be gone or will i still have to deal with some W D symptoms? Please if you don't intend on answering this question do not post anything such as " you shouldn't even be taking pills" or " Go to your doctor" I've heard all this before and trust me I'm more than aware that taking pills is wrong and dangerous So don't even think about posting a comment if it's not an answer to the question I Posted. I'm not asking " what to do" I'm asking will my plan work.
