Question: Do vicodins help methadone withdrawal?

I am in my 8th day of methadone withdrawal. will the vicodins start the withdrawal all over again? What can help alleviate the withdrawal? How long do the methadone withdrawal last? I have been taking methadone for 2 years. I am coming off on 10mgs and i have been taking alot of vitamins, xanax, and a couple vicodin every couple days. I need it to take the edge off so I won't relapse. I don't have health insurance to get suboxone the doctor visit is $250 for the first time then the script is $500. Suboxone is also very addictive you can withdrawal from those too.

I came off of Methadone cold turkey back in 06, and I thought I was going to freakin die, infact I wanted to. I had to be put in a nut ward, I was that messed up!!! Don't fool yourself, Vicodine is an opiate just like Methadone, and yessssss the withdrawal will start all over again. If I were you, I would ask a Doc about Suboxine. It is a Miracle drug for us opiate addicts. I used it when I was coming off from Oxycontin after my near fatal motorcycle wreck last year. Let me add that when I was strung out on Methadone, I was strung out for four years. I was taking 150 mgs of Methadone per day. I was also taking Vicodine and Oxycodone right along with it. And WOW, your on your 8th day of withdrawal??? When I was on my 8th day of Methadone withdrawal I was so screwed up that I would not of even been able to sit and type what you just did. Go ask your Doc about Suboxine, it works, and works well. It will take care of your withdrawal pain.
