Question: How do methadone clinics work?

My ex wife is in a methadone clinic, isnt she tested for other drugs as well as heroin?... how is she still smoking pot? well im asking because she has my kids for now...and i dont want them around drugs period...she was arrested for possesing pot after she fell asleep at a stop light!! |

I know a few people that went to clinic's treated with methadone and/ or morphine, it worked for them. She should be tested but I don't know. |

Most methadone patients are tested for other drugs as well because mixing meth with another depressant is actually really dangerous, but it also depends on the clinic, their resources and quality as well. Maybe they haven't as a privacy thing, but it's very doubtable. Maybe you could talk to her doctors if you want to help? Unfortunately, the best thing for you to do for her would probably be to tell them what she is doing. If it's more a curiousity question, most clinics do test patients, and on a regular basis not just once. Maybe they are also trying to help her get off the pot? |

If she's doing heroin and other hard heavy drugs, you should be happy she's smoking pot. thats better than smoking cigs, shes found a benign habit. |
