Question: Please help me taper down from heroin?

Ok so I've been using roxys (roxycodone basically oxycontin) for a few months now and sometimes heroin because its cheaper and lasts longer but I REALLY want to quit, im sick of this drug, im scared i spent too much money on this and I might get my new car reposessed and I owe taxes, and im in school trying to study, and i cant make any plans because im afraid i'll be out of drugs and I'll be in withdrawal mode. ITS SCARY dont ever do opiatess. But can anyone please help me come up with a good taper down plan to minimize withdrawal effects? I use about a half or 2/ 3 of herion a day, how can i taper down, how long, etc? please i beggggg anyone, and i appreciate it if you can help. Thank you so much, I'll be checking for answers ASAP.

I'm no expert on drug rehab, but at some point you have to just STOP, just like with cigarettes. All the patches and gum don't help people stop cigs, it turns out. You have to take less and less, or stop completely and go cold turkey - there is no other way. They can prescribe valium or something, but isn't that just feeding into your addiction too? You sound very motivated to stop - and that's all it takes. Take control of your life man, don't let yourself be a slave to anything, period. You can do it, and thousands of people do each year - are you weaker than them? Think about it. You have to get angry REALLY ANGRY!!! I think conflict avoidance and emotion avoidance does play a role in why certain people become addicts - maybe you really need to deal with that. Maybe somebody mistreated you and you have to go tell them to f*** themselves to get over this.
