Question: How addictive is heroin? and how can you help someone?

So I meet a friend (my sister's friend, her friend's sister) for the first time in 10 years or so. She was quite stunning, to the point where my heart skipped a beat. So she came with her family members, who my whole family is familiar with, and they had dinner at our home. We spoke alot about diff topics and just spoke about our lives, etc. I then find out from my sister that this girl has a baby and she's not married (22 yrs old). Later we find out that after having the baby, the girl admitted to my sister that she has a heroin problem and her bf is a drug dealer. But the strange thing is that this girl was hiding it so well and she seems like she loves her baby alot. So how can you help someone in this situation? It's so sad because we use to hang out a lot as kids. Funny enough, she named the baby after me.

Its very addictive and one wrong dosage it can kill you. It will slowly wear down your emotions, body, mental abilities. The baby will eventually be at risk. It is a hard road to recovery and you will be have to be strong if you want to support her decision to quit. First she has to admit that she has a problem and wants to stop. Get her to some sort of therapy, rehab or even Addicts anonymous. Make sure she never has a reason not to go, be available to baby sit or take her to the meeting. It takes alot to help an addict. It has taken my daughter 4 years to get straight and almost back to normal from taking heroin for two years. I wish you alot of luck

It's extremely addictive, i've lost two friends to heroin. all you can do is get her to rehab or counseling because it's very tough to quit on your own since it's so addictive. good luck :/
