Question: How can i quit doing heroin?

Ive been doing Heroin for three years now, ive tried to quit many times and it never works (i cant get passed 3 days before im back. I just can't deal with being dope sick. I was thinking about getting some cyboxin and going out of town so that i cannot get any dope. How much do you think i need, and how long will i be sick? I need to quit very soon, and im still working, and being sick at work is terrible. anyone have any advice? ps- only respond if you have first hand experience. If i hear one more person tell me that they understand what im going through because they watched the movie "Trainspotting " im going to scream! Thanks for your help

The best thing to do is NOT quit straight away. cut down first, then once your on very a very little amount a day, try goin a day without it and see how that goes

Well finding help and support from friends and family is always helpful. But one of the most important things is to do beat an addiction is to have will power. You have to have constant hope that you can beat this and if you don't you most likely relapse and find yourself back at square one.

In all seriousness you need to get Professional help. Trying to quit without a support system is only setting you up for failure.

No, I don't have first hand experience of doing heroin. However I did use other drugs that seriously impacted my life in a negative way, they robbed me of friendships, joy, and mental and physical health. I think getting well is your number one priority and you will need to go through some serious hardships to get past addiction. I would remove myself from all of the drug friends and triggers, and either go on sick leave from work or take leave at the moment. I would seek the support of a professional too and non drug using friends and family to bring you through. You are doing the right thing by seeking to quit.
