Question: My nephew is on heroin and is currently in jail?

My nephew is hooked on heroin and he is so young just 19 and is in jail an I am like a mom to him and his dad and X stepadad are worthless I feel so helpless i talk to him everyday but its hard he says hes not going to do it again but I cant believe him I want to support him but dont trust him. I love him so much. Hes been in jail for 4 days so far dont know how long hell be there should I leave him there or go get him in there I know hes warm and know where he is and that hes not using. I feel so bad that hes there. anyone have any suggestions that may have had to deal with this I know theres so many people on heroin its sad

People on heroin will tell you anything to get back to that high. its such a bad drug. honestly if possible i'd get him to rehab, and keep him in jail for a little while longer, hes probably craving a high right now. but at least in jail, hes not getting it.

Yes it's sad but that's the best place for him right now. if he's out on the streets, he could get hurt, are even killed, a person that's on heroin, can't just say their going to stop. he needs treatments to help him get over this.. even if u want him to go to a treatment center, he has to be willing to go on his own.

I work at the jail. Do not bail him out. He needs to go through withdrawal. Investigate a rehab. facility for him for when he gets out. His parents needs to practise tough love. If he won't go to rehab. he doesn't get to go home. They must reach rock bottom to want help. I know what you are going through. It is so hard to see someone you love self-destruct. Hang in and pray for him.

I'M the user. don't get me out you only waste the money. I probably wont go to court. . do not ever leave anything of value where I can even see it because if I can trade It for a 5$ bag its will be gone and if I can I "ll make you think someone else you love did it. No matter how long I've been clean I've still had her as my lover and I know I can always run back to her warm embrace, just because of the smallest reason I can find. love me feed me cloth me,but always remember my blood is tainted I've been touched and that can never change.
