Question: Mixing ? with heroin to make it lethal?

Im doing some research for a book. Im trying kill a character with something that's made to look like an OD or just bad heroin, but more creative. It can either be smoked or injected but it has to have the same sort of melting point, and something that wont stand out. There is a poker chip, that is relevant to the story. I thought if it was grated, very fine, and some was added. That would be good, but i don't think it could work in real life. Any think that can be added to the heroin, not noticeable while its being prepared for consumption and something quite creative. This thread was deleted for some reason, so if you could also email the answer, that would be great It has to be a murder. pre- planned, pre- prepared. The killer will be no where near at the time

Air, I think if someone injects it and there is an air bubble they can die or something, I seen it on Shameless! lol x

Kate'smum is right.. if a lot of air does enter the blood stream it can be very dangerous (ever notice how when you get an iv, the nurses make sure there aren't any big air bubbles?) I think that would be a really interesting way to kill off a character too!

Pure heroin is deadly, the dealer cuts it with something before it's sold...taking a pure shot of heroin is called a hotshot...and almost always results in instant death. and i'm talking the junkie doesn't have time to remove the tourniquet, and the needle is usually still in the arm instant. pure heroin and cut heroin (if it's done right) cannot be distinguished. so basically the junkie is at the mercy of the dealer. it's very easy to kill a heroin addict. get some uncut heroin, and give it to him as a gift. he will assume that it's cut, prep it, shoot it up, and bam! dead in a matter of seconds. (a junkie would notice tiny pieces of plastic, heroin is like gold to a junkie. and no real junkie would allow anyone, except maybe a significant other, to prep their heroin. so the air idea would be out of the question.)
