Is it safe to go through heroin withdrawal without a hospital?)?
My boyfriend's friend is addicted to heroin and has agreed to stay with my boyfriend under his care 24 7 until withdrawal is over. I know the symptoms can be severe and intense, and I was wondering, is this safe? I know the symptoms of withdrawal, and have read that withdrawal can potentially be fatal... hospitals typically use drugs to help a patient get through it, so how will it be without that?fyi The friend is not an extremely heavy user, but heavy enough, as you can imagine.

Is it true that Vitamin C can curb heroin withdrawal symptoms substantially?
I have this reference like book called The Complete Book of Vitamins It goes through hundreds of ailments and vitamin cures for them, etc. It claims some remarkable results detoxing heroin addicts with large doses of vitamin c. Being an addict I think this sounds to good to be true. Has anyone else heard such a thing?
I have a personal question in regards to heroin withdrawal/suboxone?
I have been taking heroin for about 6 months.... not injecting but sniffing it. I haven't been doing too much until recently and desperately want to stop. When I say I haven't done too much, I have been doing it every day, about 8 10 bags a day for the last 2 weeks or so. I have about 7 suboxone tablets that i got from a friend and was going to use those for the first few days if it was really tough but I was wondering how I will feel after a week of using suboxone. Will i have withdrawal from suboxone at that time??? If I havent done too much should I just try to quit without using anything. Any thoughts.... I made a mistake by getting mixed up with this and just want to put it behind me.
Heroin withdrawals PLEASE HELP!?
So my friend that is a known pain killer abuser recently moved in with me and my family, he claims to be clean except for a withdrawal medicine called suboxone. I know that recently he had his hands on some heroin and hes been spending a lot of time in the bathroom with diarrhea and vomiting these symptoms have lasted about a week so far, my question is, is it possible to still become physically ill when on the suboxon. I found blood on the toilet seat tonight and i was pretty alarmed. If there are any other signs i can look for please tell me. I'm really worried and need some answers. I dont need this around the kids.thanks.
Heroin withdrawals/relapse?
Hello, my boyfriend was addicted to heroin for 6 months, he injected. He has now been clean for 2 months and as far as I know hasn't relapsed. I only seem him once a month, but we talk everyday. A few questions I have is what are some ways I can tell if he has relapsed, not necessarily with heroin, but any opiate? Another question I have is he was really sick today, he was all stuffed up, had a runny nose, watery eyes, sinus tension, he threw up, soar throat, I know some of those are signs of withdrawals, which would mean he has relapsed, or could he really just have a sinus infection? Answers from recovering heroin addicts would be really helpful Thank you
