Question: A question for heroin addicts or former addicts?

Layne Staley says in an interview: "You know what? You cannot understand a user's mind, especially junk. We use to have these powerful visions about life and death. Many of us have seen our own death happening unconsciously and we still wait for death to come every day. " What did he mean by that? Can you relate? Can you describe what he means in your own words? He has lost all sense of reality - he has escaped into a dark place - life has no meaning - death provides a better place to escape to - a new life a new beginning - these feelings are not only common among drug addicts - many people are walking around today contemplating suidice - they cannot cope with life - they don't have the tools to rationalize right from wrong - they don't have solving problem techinques to get them thought the rough times - they seek the easy way out to end all their grief - if you are not a believer in a higher power - now is the time to give it a shot - seek help from god - no better way to get your life back together than to talk to him/ her - also see if you can help other people who are trying to escape from life - buy seeking god together
