Question: What works for herion addiction, long term?

My girlfriend would prefer a natural- holistic approach. I am behind her in her fight, so feel free to give it to me straight. I really like her alot and will contiue to be there for her until the end. well, shes past detox. occasionally she bums a subutex from a friend when things get rough. we go to meetings, she has a sponsor. its the actual cravings she needs to deal with really. shes had a slip in 2 months time. so, really we need a natural solution to curve the cravings. thanks everyone, keep em coming i need answers

Heroin addiction is not something to take lightly. If she is serious about quitting she should go to a rehab facility, preferably an inpatient facility where she can detox in a safe environment with medical professionals. After inpatient rehab she can attend NA meetings or outpatient rehab to ensure sobriety.

IF she is willing and able to go "cold turkey " with no replacement or sessation drugs (methadone, darvon, seboxin, etc.) then my best advise would be to attend 90 12 step program meetings in 90 days (AA, NA) find a sponsor and prey like hell!!
