Question: How to beat herion addiction?

I have a loved one that has tried to end her addiction but always ends up back on herion. She gets clean and stays that way for around 3- 4 months and then goes back to using. She will not change her enviroment or friends that seem to bring her down. She does not shoot up but smokes it.

O.K. first my friend you can not help someone if they really don,t want to change,Someone cannot get clean and stay clean if they don,t do it for their self!If she,s getting clean for parents,Children,husband,Boyfriend,Friends,Family,ect.Its not gona work,She has to do it for herself,And the first step is change all your old friends,{they were never real friends anyways,Just someone to get high and skrew up your life with,Misery loves company and apparently it sounds like deep down inside she is not ready because she will not change old behaver[friends,the places she goes and the poeple she wishes to hang with!The only way she,s gona get clean is hit bottom and I,m Sorry to say my dear she has not yet!You need to give her Tuff love!Its called do not bail her out anymore,You have to drop her comp[letly out of your life to she wants to help herself,it sounds like everybody forgives her all the time so she knows she can get away with it,I know its a hard thing to do,But everybody that loves her needs to get together and have a meeting{Surprise meeting as far as she is concerned!}And everybody needs to say this is it!Detox for last time stay clean or we are all washing our hands of you!I Know it sounds cruel but its the only way!Good Luck,HollywoodP.S.God Bless

She needs to go to rehab, and then she needs to MOVE far away from her loser friends.

I have a friend in a very similar circumstance but she shoots up. i hope some one here has an idea. her problem is that she is not religious and there seem to be no programs that are not god based, this has been a problem. good luck
